Ricki Lake and Rob Kardashian jointly topped the leader board on 'Dancing with the Stars' last night (14.11.11).

The chat show host earned a perfect 30 from the ballroom show's judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli for her performance of the Samba with partner Derek Hough, putting her in a good position to go through to the final next week.
Chaz Bono was voted off 'Dancing with the Stars' last night (25.10.11).

The transgender son of pop legend Cher and his professional dance partner Lacey Schwimmer left the show after coming in at the bottom of the leaderboard when they failed to wow with their tango to the theme song from 'Phantom of the Opera' on Monday (24.10.11).

The 'Dancing With the Stars' judge burst into tears when her boyfriend Jesse Sloane - who she has been dating for two years - got down on one knee while she was filling in for Kelly Ripa co-hosting 'LIVE! With Regis and Kelly'.
"The Insider"'s Jill Martin sat down with "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba to get the hush-hush details of the new season of the hit ABC series, as well as to talk to Carrie Ann about her involvement with Procter & Gamble's Give Hope campaign, which raises money for early detection of cancer. "There are a lot of changes," Carrie Ann tells Jill about the new "Dancing with the Stars" cycle. "We are at season 11, so they have to keep it new, fresh and exciting. We have acoustic week on week four. It is rumba and Argentine tango. What they are going to do is change the set and make it intimate. The music is going to be intimate. It is kind of like MTV's 'Unplugged.'" In addition, Carrie Ann, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will be joined by a fourth judge this season when some of the favorite contestants from the past will join the judging panel. No one is confirmed yet, but the "DWTS" judge says she would like to see Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith and Jerry Springer, among others, return.  As a judge, Carrie Ann is kept separate from the competitors, so she hasn't been privy to any of the rehearsals for this season's contestants. That means she doesn't know how Bristol Palin, David Hasselhoff, Margaret Cho or any of the others are doing. But she does know that Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is at a slight disadvantage because he began rehearsals two weeks later than the other competitors. As for who she predicts to take home the disco-ball trophy, she says, "That is what is great about season 11. There is no favorite to win it at this point. I can't, in all honesty, tell you who is going to do well. Brandy might come out as the best dancer in the beginning, but I don't know if she is going to be as exciting to watch as some of the other people." Before the "Dancing with the Stars" season begins, Carrie Ann has been busy with the Procter & Gamble's Give Hope campaign. It is her second year working on the program. She agreed to lend her name to the cause because her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. Luckily, her mother detected it early, which is key for survival. There is also a website that helps with early detection, called mypinkplan.com. "On Sept. 26 and Oct. 10, Procter & Gamble is sending out the brandSAVER in the Sunday newspapers. It is all about clipping your coupons for your favorite Procter & Gamble products," she explains. People who use the coupons to buy products, such as Bounty, Charmin or Bounce, will help raise money for the Give Hope campaign, which donates two cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for each coupon used. That money is earmarked for educational programs and development. "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Monday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

There's something very special about her. She's fully committed. She's so passionate. She gets into character. She moves really, really well. I think for her to go all the way to the end, she's just going to have to up the difficulty level of some of her moves." Niecy has voiced that she's anxious to showcase her assets. "I think working the jiggly parts is absolutely appropriate. Len [Goodman] may have a different opinion on that one though, so be careful…Jiggly parts and samba, that's a winner," enthused Carrie Ann. "Get ready to rumble!" Louis Van Amstel and our Niecy were launched to next week’s show, but for Buzz Aldrin and partner Ashly Costa, it was mission complete. The moon-man's ballroom career was grounded by being voted off "DWTS" on Tuesday. Not surprised with the result, the historic astronaut told "The Insider," "I didn't start out with a big advantage over everybody else. I had to overcome considerable obstacles--age, may be one of them. Physical agility. Whether I learn things fast or not." His new friend Erin Andrews may meet sports superstars on a daily basis in her job as an ESPN reporter, but when it comes to Buzz, she said with sheer excitement, "We met a guy that landed on the moon!" The remaining couples get outfitted in another round of sequins when "DWTS" returns on Monday night on ABC.

According to a report, "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba will undergo surgery Wednesday. People magazine reports that the morning after the big "DWTS" finale in which Donny Osmond was crowned champion, Carrie Ann will have surgery in Los Angeles to treat spinal stenosis. "I have arthritis. The space around my spinal cord has become compressed," Carrie Ann told People. "I have been locked. My neck was so stiff. We're hoping this procedure will relieve that." Carrie Ann told People that she expects to be "fine" following the procedure, which could be repeated if it goes well.
