Daughter of an important North American geologist, she has traveled around the world since she was very young. She spent her childhood in Libya. After traveling to different countries, she went back to the States, where she became a model, appreciated by people like Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein, appearing on the covers of the most important fashion magazines.



Son was named after both of his grandfathers (Homer Gere and James Lowell), and Jigme means "fearless" in Tibetan. Her son, with actor Richard Gere, Homer James Jigme Gere was born on 6th February 2000 in New York City weighing in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces. Discovered straight out of high school by the Ford agency, her modeling career included famous print campaigns for Johnny Walker scotch and Calvin Klein. Daughter-in-law of Dominick Dunne (during marriage to his son Griffin Dunne).
