10 February 2005: engagement to Prince Charles announced. The civil wedding will take place in Windsor Castle on 8 April 2005. She will use the title HRH The Duchess of Cornwall from then on.
Legally she is entitled to use the style "HRH the Princess of Wales", but (with the Queen's permission) she is styled "HRH the Duchess of Cornwall" everywhere but Scotland. In Scotland she is styled "HRH the Duchess of Rothesay" since her husband is the Duke of Rothesay.
