Following her interview with Oprah Winfrey on Monday, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin continues to promote her book, sitting down with Barbara Walters to set the record straight about claims made by Levi Johnston that her marriage is on the rocks and that she called her youngest child Trig a derogatory term. Johnston, 19, claimed on "The Early Show" last month that Palin had called Trig, who is afflicted with Down syndrome, "retarded." "That's heartbreaking to know that that he would say such a thing and that's not true," she tells Walters, who aired her interview with Palin on "Good Morning America." Johnston -- the father to Palin's grandchild Tripp -- has also told media outlets that he thinks the former Alaska governor and her husband Todd will divorce. Palin reacts, "We remain a solid, blessed couple." Walters addresses Johnston's claims that Palin did not mention him in her book Going Rogue: The American Life because she feared what information he had on her. "He doesn't have anything on me," Palin says of Johnston's remarks. The former VP hopeful believes it's a "good sign" that Johnston has said he is going to court to get joint custody of his son Tripp. "It will be nice to see a desire to be a part of the baby's life."

Before Oprah's highly anticipated sit-down with Sarah Palin on Monday, Barbara Walters is releasing clips of her own upcoming interview with the former Alaska governor. Palin tells Walters she didn’t realize her teenage daughter Bristol was sexually active, so she was stunned to learn that her daughter and Levi Johnston were expecting a child. “That’s why I was shocked,” Palin says. “Truthfully, we were devastated.” The former VP hopeful had accepted the offer to become John McCain's running mate just a few days earlier. Bristol and Levi’s son Tripp arrived last December. Walters' full interview with Palin is a five-part series of ABC News interviews which begin airing on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Meanwhile, Palin’s sit-down with Oprah takes place on Monday, Nov. 16.

Last Thursday, Letterman admitted to having affairs with coworkers, after a man allegedly tried to blackmail him with the information. Tonight, Barbara told ET, "I think that David has been extremely open about a very difficult situation and I give him great credit for being this open. He's not trying to hide anything." La Toya Jackson continues to speak out about her brother Michael Jackson's death, saying in no uncertain terms that it was "murder" in a preview of her 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters.  Appearing on "Good Morning America," Barbara shared clips from tonight's "20/20"in which La Toya talks about the ongoing death investigation. When asked if she believes Dr. Conrad Murray killed Michael, La Toya says sternly, "Barbara, something went wrong." La Toya said she also believes Michael was dead for some time before 911 was called. Additionally, she makes a shocking claim that Michael's son Prince was called in to help resuscitate the fallen pop star when the doctor found him unresponsive. "Why would you want to do that that to a child," she asks, "especially when you knew that Michael was no longer alive?" La Toya says she believes the reason behind this was for Murray "to show [he] had nothing to do with this." At Michael's funeral, La Toya says he looked "absolutely fabulous," dressed in white pearl beads and a big gold belt, "like a belt that you win being a boxer." "His hair was done beautifully," she added. "His makeup was done beautifully." The full interview airs tonight on ABC's "20/20."

Former President Bill Clinton joined current President Barack Obama and journalists Barbara Walters, Matt Lauer, Andy Rooney and many others at a memorial service held for the late Walter Cronkite.   Clinton spoke to those gathered, paying tribute to the former CBS newscaster. "He had an inquiring mind, a caring heart and a careful devotion to the facts," Clinton said of Cronkite. As the CBS anchorman for almost 20 years, Cronkite's dependability and everyman demeanor comforted audiences through such lows as the President Kennedy assassination and cheered them in such highs as America landing on the moon. "He was always looking for the story, not the storyline," Clinton says. "He was a good man." Cronkite passed away on July 17 at the age of 92. He is survived by his three children Nancy, Mary and Walter.

NEW YORK (AP) - So you think the ladies of "The View" don't get along?


In a new interview with Barbara Walters, President-elect Barack Obama reveals some of his concerns about transitioning into his presidency.   For national security reasons, Obama may have to give up use of his BlackBerry, as well as other electronic methods of communication -- something he says seriously concerns him. “One of the things that I’m going to have to work through is how to break through the isolation -- the bubble that exists around the president,” Obama tells Walters. “I’m in the process of negotiating with the Secret Service, with lawyers, with White House staff … to figure out how can I get information from outside of the 10 or 12 people who surround my office in the White House.” Obama went on to say he enjoyed his widespread interaction with Americans while he campaigned for the presidency across the nation, but he fears losing that contact. “One of the worst things I think that could happen to a president is losing touch with what people are going through day to day …” he tells Walters. “I want to make sure that I keep my finger on the pulse of the struggles that people are going through every day.” “Barack Obama: The Barbara Walters Interview” airs Wednesday night on ABC.
