Zac Hanson, of the musical group Hanson, is a daddy. Zac and his wife Kate welcomed a new son into the world on Tuesday in Tulsa.

The baby, named John Ira Shepherd Hanson, weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 oz and will go by the name Shepherd. Zac, 22, told People.com, "There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time."
Rocker Zac Hanson's wife Kate is pregnant with the couple's first child. The 11th member of the Hanson clan is expected in May, Zac has revealed. The 22-year-old says, "I am utterly thrilled at the thought of becoming a father. I can't wait to meet this person."


Zac Hanson, the youngest member of the Hanson brother's boy band, announced to People magazine that he and his wife are expecting their first child together this May.

Zac, 22, is not the first Hanson brother to become a father, his middle brother Taylor has three children, and oldest brother Isaac has one child.

Hanson met wife Kate Tucker, 23, in 2001 and after four years of dating he popped the question and the two were married in Atlanta, Georgia in June 2006.
