Trivia
Attended St. Marks, where he was a member of the same theater group as Tommy Lee Jones.
Was originally slated to play the role of Dennis Nedry in 1993's Jurassic Park (1993), but was replaced after Steven Spielberg saw Wayne Knight's performance in Basic Instinct (1992).
Moved to the UK after his friend John Lithgow recommended that he go there.
He and his Batman (1989) cast mates Garrick Hagon and Billy Dee Williams have all appeared in the "Star Wars" films as well. Hootkins and Hagon appeared together in Star Wars (1977), as Porkins and Biggs, respectively. Williams played Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).
