Born in Alabama and raised in Georgia, Walton is a talented actor and an Oscar-winning producer. Currently he's best known as Detective Shane Vendrell in FX's hit show "The Shield".
He won 1st prize in Hog calling contest, at the Gold West State Days Hog Calling Contest. At the ages of 10 he and his mother were the state wide champion Cloggers, otherwise known as Mountain Dancing. When B.B. King was on tour Walton and his mother opened for him at the Atlanta Fulton County Prison. His wife Leanne owned a dog walking business; they had a dog called Beulah who is still with Walton. He wed Leanne on the set of "Shanghai Noon" in Canada. All his cast mates from "The Shield" attended Leanne's memorial service. His wife suffered from severe depression. She committed suicide by jumping from a building in Los Angeles.
