Tony Longo Biography
Tony Longo is the Big Guy in "Angels in the Outfield" and "Flinstones, Viva Rock Vegas. When you bump into Tony Longo, currently 6 foot-6 weighing in at 300 + pounds, your first impression would be to run the other way. But wait, did you see the warm smile? Now he looks like that favorite uncle you've always wanted. Where did I see him? He's a gentle giant and a real tough hombre rolled into one. His ever changing presence and talent as a professional actor reigns supreme. Tremendousand amazing diversity, his size and looks belie his immense talents as an actor that has played a football and baseball player, mafia sidekick, professional wrestler, enforcer, truck driver, teacher, coach, pool hustler, and construction worker. Inumerable acting roles in less than 25 years include 75 films and 225 TV episodes. Two of his most memorable roles "Little Mike" in "Eraser" with the Governor of California Arnold Shwartznegger and "Mad Dog" on HBO's hit comedy series "First and Ten" with O.J. Simpson for 5 seasons.Tony has played and created some incredibly memorable characters during his career. He can play maddeningly evil characters, sad, good, or lost soul types, heroes of every type and genre and anything in between with depth and a fitting style. He has no problem gaining or losing close to 100 pounds in less than 6 months. He has recently signed with kdmv Network USA to do The Tony Longo Show - "The American Fatso" and has 5 films in production for release in 2006 and 2007.
He was born Anthony Longo On August 20, 1961 in Jersey City, New Jersey, moved to the suburbs to Wayne New Jersey, graduated in 1978 and then left town to seek his fame in Hollywood. Tony has traveled so far, wide and often. His father was his best advisor helping Tony to stay with it in the in between times early in his career.
Within a week in Hollywood Tony landed a role of Artie the security guard on the hit series Alice and immediately after was cast in 16 candles, Splash and Fletch. Then Tony appeared in the Helltown series with Robert Blake, the Young and the Restless daytime soap opera, FOX's Shaky ground, Police academy TV series,and hasn't slowed down since.
Tony's recent film and TV credits include Mulholland Drive, directed by David Lynch, Six Feet Under, Serving Sarah, The Cooler, and has just completed The Fall of Night and Foodfight! with Hilary Duff to be released in 2007. Look for Tony on new episodes of "Monk" and "Las Vegas". He will also be starring in a New Saturday morning kids show called "Lenny & Sheryl" playing the Crazy Coach/Gym Teacher.
