In order to accomplish the "invisible" effects for him as the Invisible Man in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (2003), a special "blue screen suit" was created for him to wear.
He graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
Fan of Glasgow Celtic football club
He has appeared in three movies that feature vampires, Blade II, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Underworld: Evolution. He also plays a vampire in Blade II and Underworld: Evolution.
Has been in two movies based on/adapted from/inspired by the epic poem "Beowulf." The 13th Warrior and Beowulf & Grendel.
