Younger brother of John Considine.
Grandson of Alex Pantages, founder of the Pantages Theaters chain.
Playing oldest son Mike, he turned to TV writing and directing after he abruptly left the successful series, "My Three Sons" (1960).
His paternal grandfather was vaudeville impresario John Considine who was once acquitted for killing a Seattle police chief in self-defense.
Ex-brother-in-law of Toby Considine.
