The mother of slain swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore speaks out the morning after Ryan Jenkins, her daughter's ex-husband and a fugitive suspect in Fiore's murder, was found dead from an apparent suicide. Fiore's mother, Lisa Lepore, tells the "Today" show host Ann Curry of hearing the news of Jenkins' death, “It’s a mixed reaction. It brings some closure to what’s been going on. ... We don’t have to worry about looking for him anymore, or being worried that he’s a threat to any other women or men. We still have a long process of closure.” Fiore's former boyfriend,  Robert Hasman, also appeared on the "Today" show and revealed that he was in contact with the swimsuit model via text messaging days before her death. When asked if his contact with Fiore could have pushed Jenkins over the edge, Hasman replies, "I can only assume that that might have been the cause, his motive." “We exchanged several texts, also e-mails as well,” Hasman said. “The last text I received from her was about 1:45 in the morning on Friday. She wanted to come to Las Vegas. She wanted to come and see me. Her last message was, 'I’m coming.'" Jenkins -- former contestant on VH1's reportedly canceled reality show "Megan Wants a Millionaire" -- was found hanged at the Thunderbird Motel in Hope, British Columbia on Sunday, a spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney's Office tells ET. Jasmine's mother says of her daughter's relationship with Jenkins, “She didn’t really need him. She had a lot going for her. She had good friends. I just encouraged her in her separation. It’s kind of all you can do.”

Bono fears U2 will split up. The singer says he and his bandmates - guitarist The Edge, drummer Larry Mullen Jr. and bassist Adam Clayton - are determined to enjoy their upcoming world tour because they fear it could be their last.

He said: "We want to play for each other as much as we want to play for the crowd this time. You just don't know how long you are going to be doing this. When we walk out on stage, the hairs on people's necks go up - but what people don't know is that the hairs on our necks go up too."
U2 rocker The Edge tried to convince frontman Bono not to meet former U.S. President George W. Bush to discuss poverty in Africa - because it was an "uncool" image for the band.


Bono's political campaigning nearly split up U2. The philanthropic rocker says his bandmates - guitarist The Edge, bass player Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr. - were convinced his prominent involvement in promoting numerous charities issues would end the Irish group.

He told the Observer Music Monthly magazine: "It's dangerous. And it worries Larry, and it worries the whole band, if truth be told. But, you know, here's the thing - they thought, all of them, Larry, Edge, Adam, that my campaigning would sink the ship."
It didn't take long before the press to latch on to an apparent "sick OAP sex joke" 8 minutes into Jonathon Ross' first BBC 2 radio show. I bet a huge amount of "journalists" tuned in to the show and were on the edge of their seats desperate to find some hint of scandal that they could use to fill a space in their papers.

It's been 5 long years since U2 released their last album but the dry spell is almost over. The Irish rockers have named their new album 'No Line On The Horizon' and have scheduled March 2, 2009, as its drop date.

The band (Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr.) pushed back the release date from November to March to make it right, says the Irish Independent. They wanted it to be "our best album ever... or what's the point?"
Matthew McConaughey is letting everyone in on his latest journeys across the Americas -- including meeting the relatives of his Brazilian girlfriend Camilla Alves and his new favorite band. In a recent travel blog on myspace, the actor talks about his visit to Brazil to meet his "lady's family." "Found a very proud and happy culture [in Brazil.] We ate, we drank, we danced and they tolerated my stumbling through the Portuguese language," he writes. During his travels, McConaughey celebrated turning a year older. "I spent my 39th birthday on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon...almost got 'butted' off the edge by a ram…as for the first sight of the [Grand Canyon,] mother nature created something that looks so fake, its real." Through all these journeys, McConaughey is enjoying some new music. "Best album front to back I've heard in a while is the new Kings of Leon, 'Only by the Night' ... good music." The actor stars in the new film 'The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,' set to hit theaters May of next year.
