"The Insider" has learned that the producers of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" are switching things up to avoid the injuries that plagued the hit show's contestants last season. Moving forward, there will be a rehearsal limit for the couples competing in season nine. Last season, contestants Gilles Marini, Jewel, Steve-O and Melissa Rycroft, among others, were injured. The new contestants competing for the mirrorball trophy will be announced on "Good Morning America" on Monday.

Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer were eliminated from the competition on Tuesday night's "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Insider" is backstage after the show with the couple and their dancing co-stars. "It's a huge bummer," Ty Murray says about the "Jackass" star leaving the show. "I'm so proud of Steve-O. He's really manned up. This is the first time in his life he's gone through stressful circumstances without his crutches." "I'm proud of him he was a joy to be around during the whole show," Ty's professional partner Chelsie Hightower adds. "I think he's on his way to a better life." AP - After weeks of dismal scores, Steve-O was booted from the "Dancing With the Stars" ballroom Tuesday.
Holly Madison and Dmitry Chaplin, Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer, and Steve Wozniak and Karina Smirnoff tumbled into this week's bottom three on Tuesday night's "DWTS" -- and two of the duos were banished from the ballroom. At the end of a night rife with double the tension, America learned that Holly and Dmitry and the Woz and Karina had both danced their last Argentine tango. "It was a lot physically harder than I thought that it would be," Holly said of the competition, adding that she enjoyed her time on the show all the same. "I gave it a good try," said the Woz, adding to his pro partner Karina, "I want to dance more with you!" It wasn't all sad goodbyes on the results show. Boys II Men performed a medley of classics, and Kevin Rudolph belted out his hit tune "Let it Rock."

"I thought we would never have one thing in common," Woz says of the former "Jackass" wild man. "The first time our eyes met, we knew we were going to be friends forever." The charismatic Apple co-founder also reveals that though he's "lost five inches" on his belt since getting into "Dancing" shape, he is hurting after last week's samba. "I twisted my hamstring," he says, "And I’m limping when I walk. So, I tell people I can’t walk, but I can dance!" The "Insider"'s Samantha Harris takes you behind the scenes after week two of "Dancing With The Stars", and the one thing on everybody's mind was the late announcement that due to an injury Steve-O would not compete on Monday's show.    "Nobody is ensured from injuries," Dmitry Chaplin says. "You could be a fully trained professional, top of the rank. One day something will go wrong. You just never know." Steve-O's partner Lacey Schwimmer revealed later in the show that the former "Jackass" star injured himself two hours before the show when he landed on his back during rehearsal. Steve-O was taken to a hospital for medical treatment but Schwimmer assured fans that nothing is broken. The other contestants are all too familiar with injuries, and they weighed in on the unfortunate incident and offered their support to the injured star. "It goes to show that dancing is not a walk in the park, it's not the easiest thing in the world," Mark Ballas says. "It really is hard. It takes a toll on the body and you've got to pace yourself and be careful. People out there who watch the show don't understand how strenuous it actually is. Steve-O is probably one of the craziest toughest guys. The king of mastering pain and you know he's hurt, and I'm praying he'll be all right." The "Dancing with the Stars" injuries continue to pile up -- and "The Insider" has the latest. Host Tom Bergeron announced at the top of tonight's dance competition that former 'Jackass' star Steve-O would not be performing tonight due to an injury. Steve-O's partner Lacey Schwimmer walked out solo at the opening of the show. Later on in the show, Schwimmer announced that Steve-O landed on his back while rehearsing their number only two hours before the taping of the live show, causing him to seek medical treatment at a hospital.  She also gave an update on Steve-O's condition, saying "nothing's broken," although there was extreme swelling. Steve-O, the star of "Jackass," has checked himself back into a mental institution after living sober for 115 days.

The former MTV star, 33, has written on his blog that after watching himself on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Addiction Special he wants "to explain a little bit of what I've been going through since I got clean, to help some of you understand how much damage drugs and alcohol have really done to me."
"Jackass" star Steve-O has transferred from rehab to a mental hospital, he reveals on his blog.

The TV stuntman, real name Stephen Glover, has checked into a mental ward in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. This move comes after he had spent time in a narcotics program at a rehabilitation center to treat his drug demons.
