Sasha Mitchell joined the cast of Step by Step in 10/91. His role of Cody Lambert reunited him with former Dallas co-star Patrick Duffy with whom he worked for two seasons playing James, J.R. Ewing's illegitimate son. He made his telefilm debut in Pleasures. He modeled exclusively for a year with famed fashion photographer Bruce Weber and studied acting in New York City at the National Improvisational Theatre.
