Graduated from Princeton University in 1998.
Discovered by filmmaker David DeCoteau for the film Micro Mini Kids. Based on his work on that film DeCoteau flew Sam to Buchurest, Romania to play a flirty Bi-Sexual in the horror film Prison of the Dead. After dinner at El Coyote Restaurant in Hollywood, DeCoteau offered Sam the lead in his film The Brotherhood which became a huge success and launched Sam's career into orbit.
