Despite rumors of the contrary, singer Alanis Morissette has only nice things to say about her ex-fiancé Ryan Reynolds. Sexy actor Reynolds is now engaged to Scarlett Johansson.

"I'm really happy for him," the singer, who her engagement to Reynolds in 2007, told Newsweek.

As for reports that her new album, Flavors of Entanglement, was originally supposed to be released on the same day as Johansson's? "My album release date has been moved five times," she said, "so I wasn't even aware of what the dates where."

"I think anger is an incredible life force, and I'm proud of my own anger," she told the magazine. "I'd been repressing for a long time ... A lot was squashed down, and all of a sudden I had this freedom to write whatever I wanted, so of course this was going to come out."

Well, that's good to know she's not bitter! Or is it really a good thing, since the only time she's really successful selling records is when she's a bitter, angry b*tch?
