(Reuters) - The British company that had been auctioning what it said was a vial of the late U.S. President Ronald Reagan's blood canceled the sale on Thursday and the owner will donate the material to the Reagan foundation, the company said. "We have negotiated with the consignor to arrange for the item to be withdrawn from the auction and donated to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation," PFC Auctions said in a statement. LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Ronald Reagan's foundation expressed outrage on Monday at a British company's auction of what it says is a vial of the late U.S. president's blood taken at the hospital where he was treated after a 1981 assassination attempt. PFC Auctions, a company based in Guernsey in the United Kingdom, announced on Sunday that it would sell the vial of blood in an online auction set to end on Thursday. Former First Lady Nancy Reagan took a nasty fall last night at an event in California -- but thankfully, a nearby Senator caught her mid-fall ... INCHES before the 90-year-old would have slammed to the ground.

Nancy was being escorted to her seat at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA  when she took the plunge, but the man escorting her -- Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) -- caught her just in time.

A spokeswoman for the library claims Nancy was NOT injured.

Christy Martin, the women's Super Welterweight Boxing Champ, is taking a shot at the California State Athletic Commission, claiming the organization is sexist and she lost what would have been her 50th victory as a result.

Christy fought Dakota Stone last June at the Staples Center in L.A.  Christie was ahead in points with 51 seconds left in the fight, when the referee stopped the fight and gave the victory to Stone. 

The ref felt Christy couldn't continue because her hand was injured, but Christy's lawyer, Gloria Allred doesn't see it that way.  Gloria claims all Christy did was "momentarily wince," and she wanted to continue, and the decision to stop the bout is "an unfair and sexist double standard" -- i.e., a ref would never have stopped a fight under the same circumstances if the boxers were male.

It's kind of ironic -- last November, Christy's then husband allegedly tried to murder her by stabbing her, shooting her and pistol whipping her, yet the ref stopped the bout over what Gloria says was a wimpy hand injury.

Gloria and Christy will hold a news conference on Monday at 9:30 AM PT in the Ronald Reagan State Building in L.A. to take on the Athletic Commission.

John's ex-assistant Fred Seaman dropped the bombshell in a new documentary called "Beatles Stories" -- claiming, Lennon was "embarrassed" by his anti-war radicalism.

Seaman claims, "[Lennon] was a very different person back in 1979 and 80 than he'd been when he wrote 'Imagine.' By 1979 he, looked back on that guy and was embarrassed by that guy's naivete."

According to Seaman, "John, basically, made it very clear that if he were an American he would vote for Reagan because he was really sour on Jimmy Carter."

But Seaman's credibility isn't exactly untarnished -- back in 1983, the man pled guilty to stealing Lennon's photos and diaries ... and was sentenced to five years probation.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed back to hospital today (02.03.11) because of circulation problems in her left leg.

The ailing actress - who had part of her right leg amputated in January after gangrene set in - was brought from her Beverly Hills mansion to Los Angeles' Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center by ambulance at 11am after her personal physician discovered a lack of blood flowing through her left leg during a routine check-up.
