Raoul Meyer Ortolani has been married to Brigitte Nielsen from 1993 to date. He has two sons with her, Douglas (b. 1993) and Raoul jr. Ayrton (b. 1995) in memory of his friend Ayrton Senna. He works for a Big Society in Switzerland where he lives with his family. Meyer his also a great sportsman, in fact he dedicated his youth to speed skiing into the National team and coached the Italian women's team during the years 1981 - 1982. In 1986 he began car racing with a Porsche RS model and took part in Chamionships in Italy and Germany until 1992-1993 when he participated in the Porsche Supercup Championship. In 1995-1996 he participated in the Ferrari 355 Challenge Championship, winning a couple of podiums and the third place in the championship finals. In 1997 he was the Italian Champion in the enduring competition together with Arturo Merzario with a Ferrari (1 position at the 1000 km in Monza - 12 hours of Misano - 6 hours from Vallelunga). From 1998 to 2001 he took part in the Lamborghini Supesport Trophy championship finishing in 3rd position in 2000 and 2001 and achieving further succes in winning the Monza competition which proceeded the Grand Prix Formula 1. In 2003 he took part in the 25th edition of Dakar with Nissan Patrol where he finished, within the first 10 stops, in 20th position of the total classification. Unfortunately, the excess of velocity led to a loss of control and the car overturned in Libia, which forced him to drop out. In 2004 his program includes the Rally in Morocco during the month of June, the Rally of the Pharaohs, which will take place in October in the Egyptian desert and finally, in December, to the Highlight appointment of the 26th edition of Dakar.


Two sons with Brigitte Nielsen: Douglas Aaron born on April 20, 1993 and Raoul Ayrton Jr. (In memory of his friend, the Champion of F1 Ayrton Senna) born on May 21, 1995. Mom Heidi lives in Milan
