His grandmother, Janine Klotza, was one of France's Prima Ballerina's in the 1920s, performing all the major ballets in pre WWII Europe, except Gisele, after whom she named her only daughter, Phillip's mother. Went to the same Primary school as Julia and Nadia Sawalha, All Saint's C of E School in Upper Norwood, albeit some 3 years after them. First fame was as a model for a Woolworths catalogue, aged 10. He grew up with Kate Moss.
