Paul Walker Biography
Paul William Walker, IV was born on September 12, 1973 in Glendale, California to Paul, III and Cheryl Walker. Paul is the eldest of four children including his sister Ashlie, and his brothers Caleb and Cody.

Paul's father, a former Golden Gloves champion, became a business man owning a contracting company. His mother Cheryl, a former model, decided to return to that career shortly after the birth of Paul. At the suggestion of her agent, she began taking Paul with her on assignments. This lead to Paul getting his break into modeling

Paul made appearances in popular 80s sitcoms including "Charles in Charge" (1984), "Who's the Boss?" (1984) and "Diff'rent Strokes" (1978) before deciding to take a break from acting to live the normal life of a teenager filled with football and girls. But, before this, he co-starred in two movies, Programmed to Kill (1987) and Monster in the Closet (1987), as well as played on one season of the series "Throb" (1986) in 1987. Shortly after graduation in 1991, Paul decided to study marine biology because of his love for the ocean, while he worked odd construction jobs - a skill he picked up from summers working with his dad as a way of earning some cash. But, this didn't last long and he returned to acting, landing a recurring role as Brandon Collins on "The Young and The Restless"(1973) soap opera. This lasted about a year before he took some time off.

Paul once again returned to acting with a role in the 1994 film Tammy and the T-Rex. However, the film did not fair well and the disappointment hit Paul hard, causing him to leave acting behind once again. Paul spent a lot of time traveling the world, hitting such exotic places as Thailand, Costa Rica and Fiji. His dreams came through when he got a call from his former agent telling him about a role on "Touched by an Angel". Paul took the role and was quickly bitten by the acting bug once again, and he never looked back.

Paul directly landed two film roles, "Pleasantville" (1998) and "Meet the Deedles" (1998), followed by many more films over the next few years, sealing his place as one of Hollywood's hottest new stars. He received his big break with the Hollywood break-through film co-starring Vin Diesel, "The Fast and the Furious" (2001). Ironically Vin Diesel was also looking for his big break at the time. This movie leads to a steady stream of movies for both actors. In his spare time Paul likes to surf and play other water sports with friends, take his cars to the track or do some skateboarding. He is an avid driver and surfer. He describes himself as "a total gear-head" and owns numerous cars including the Nissan Skyline used in "2 Fast 2 Furious". Paul is a very down to earth kind of guy believes that life should be lived to the full.
