Trivia

Gained attention playing larger-than-life entertainment legends on 70s TV. Portrayed Orson Welles in the TV movie The Night That Panicked America (1975) (TV) and Florenz Ziegfeld Jr. in Ziegfeld: The Man and His Women (1978) (TV).

Known for his unsympathetic portrayals, he voiced the evil rat Jenner in the animated feature The Secret of NIMH (1982).

Made his Broadway debut as 'Brother Julian' in the production of "Tiny Alice" circa 1965.

Recorded his dialogue for the evil rat Jenner in The Secret of NIMH (1982) before he actually saw the character design. After seeing Jenner's character design, he requested to re-record some of his dialogue so that he could get the "performance" just right.

Attended and Graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

Served in the U.S. Airforce circa 1954-57.
