An American magazine has published what is believed to be the first photo of Patrick Swayze since news of his cancer broke – in which the actor is shown smoking a cigarette.
The National Enquirer has published this picture of the former ‘Ghost’ and ‘Dirty dancing’ star, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January.
The photos were taken on March 10, after Swayze left the Stanford Cancer Centre. The magazine reports Swayze has been a “three-pack-a-day smoker for years”, and states that smokers are twice as likely to get pancreatic cancer than non-smokers.
Swayze is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but is reportedly yet to suffer any side effects from the treatment.

I have been a fan of yours for years. I watch Dirty Dancing when I ever get a chance. I think you a great dancer, very good looking, ausem actor. When I heard that you were dignosed with pancreatic cancer, I was devistated. This picture does not look like the Patrick I know. I hope you quite smoking. You need to live a long and healty life. I would be very devistated if the cancer took your life. You show you are a very strong person in alot of your movies. I know you can beat this.

You have lived a most wonderful, fulfilling life! A legend in film with memories that will live forever in the hearts of your fans! Acting was a passion and as a viewer I could see that passion and the love and energy you put into each and every role! I respect the fact that you were "you" and never tried to portray yourself as someone better than those who supported you and continue to support you!
I had so much to say here...and just cant seem to put it into words! Its like we all know you personally Patrick! And thats because in some unexplained way...you've managed your way into our hearts by simply being the person you are! You have accomplished what many only dream of...to be truly loved and respected by people around the world! There isnt an acting class in the world that can teach that! It comes from within and how you were raised which says so much about your upbringing!
As a child I saw you on TV in movies and wanted to be you! I saw you in roles during my youth years and looked up to you! I continue to see you on television battling for your life and pray for you like you are my best friend! And I guess thats how many of us feel...like our good friend is going through so much and all we can do is all we have ever done...watch! Its an incredibly helpless feeling! You are a good person Patrick! I cant explain it! Im sitting on my couch, my heart is pounding and I have a gut wrenching sickening feeling in my stomach and a sadness in my heart...if somehow that could be put into words...than that is what I am attempting to say here! Thank you for the memories!
hi patrick i have watched you in nearly every film you have been in i look at your pictures every day on my laptop and to check on the updates on how you are doing and just read that you have refused a lung oporation because it is to risky but i hope you make the right choice in what you ddecide because it carnt be easy for you,lisa,and your family becaus my husband david got told he had lung cancer and it took it right out of him he had 20 sessions of radiopherpy and 3 tumors in is blader and he is still smoking i now it is hard but he nows at one point he will have to give it up because i now i would rarther have him here with me than not atall i am wrighting this letter now and it feels like i am talking to if you now what i mean because you are a legend and we will be praying for you each and every day just like i do for my husband david praying that it does not come back and that he can get through it anyway i will sign off now because my little dog which we call our baby is stering at us both to go to bed and i will check to see if there is anymore news tomorrow i hope there is but good news so good night god bless you are in our thoughts always.
