Got into acting as a way to overcome his stuttering problem. Twin brother of Kelly Donovan. Attended Pasadena City College. Served as the honorary chairperson of the Stuttering Foundation of America's Stuttering Awareness Week in 2001, 2002 and 2003. During the off-season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Nicholas often grows a goatee, while his identical brother, Kelly, stays clean-shaven. This often leads to fans mistaking Kelly for Nicholas.
