Is one of only 31 actors and actresses to have worked on both the original Star Trek (up to and including Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) and then in one of the spin-offs.
Was told by his college instructors that he didn't have the skill or talent to make it as an actor, and was dismissed from California Institute of the Arts. Later that same year he got the part in the TV series, Square Pegs.
