Son of Peter Kassovitz and Chantal Rémy. Daughter's name is Carmen. He wanted to make a movie that imagined what the filming of Rats - Notte di terrore (1984) was like but never found financing. Disowned the theatrical cut of Babylon A.D. (2008) suggesting that the studio behind it 20th Century Fox, had turned it into a dumb action movie and removed the complex issues and themes he had originally wanted the film to feature. It is reported these cuts where imposed by the studio for pacing reasons and to achieve a PG-13 rating.
