With Jerome "Romeo" Jones and Kelton "LDB" Kessee, he is in the Rap/R&B male group Immature. His cousin, Jarell Houston (known as J Boog), is a member of the group B2K who was discovered by IMX's manager Chris Stokes. In 1999, the group Immature changed its name to Imx. Marques is "like" a brother to singer Omarion, they are not biological brothers. In his free time, he likes to play basketball, read books, and racing cars. His long time idol is Michael Jackson, but he also loves Boyz II Men because they influenced him to create his own band. Wrote the song 'Alone' with his group, IMX, in memory of his mother's passing. In 1999, the group Immature changed its name to IMX. His favourite nickname is Batman, which he got on stage after a tour. He has been in all 4 Scream tours, with other friends and rappers, such as B2K, Nick Cannon, Mario and Bow Wow. His group, Immature/IMX went their own separate ways in order for each member to pursue solo careers. Is of African-American and Mexican descent. His mother, Caroline, died of cancer. Before she died, he wrote the song "Please Don't Go" which appears on Immature's album "We Got It". His debut CD hit shelves in October 21st, 2003. His full name is Marques Barrett Houston, but likes to be known as Marques Houston. Has formed a production company with Omarion and their manager Chris Stokes called Franchise Boys.
