Was on Sale Of The Century in 1985, won the lot for $115,257 in the Winners Board format. In his first episode, he stole the championship in a tie-breaking question after the speed round. Then on his final episode, where he trailed the entire game until the end of the speedround where he tied one of his opponents, his opponent answered the tiebreaker wrong, giving him the win and the lot. In 1992, was "purchased" for charity as part of a Big Bear ski package at a Big Brothers charity auction by Vicki Roberts.
