Lawrence Joesph Mullen was born in Artane Dublin Ireland in 1961. Studied with Ireland best known drummer Joe Bonnie who died in 1974. Sister Mary Mullen died as a child.


Son Aaron Elvis Mullen (derived from Elvis Aaron Presley) was born in October 1996. Larry was born to Larry Mullen Sr. and Maureen Mullen. He has an older sister Cecilia. His younger sister Mary died in childhood. Currently, he lives in New York. Bono persuaded him to keep in with the group and lent a lot of support to Larry over the death of his mother because Bono lost his mother, Iris when he was 14. 2002: Appeared with Samantha Morton in U2's "Electrical Storm" video, directed by Anton Corbijn. Lives in Howth, County Dublin, Ireland.
