Mariah Carey claimed on Wednesday night’s “Larry King Live” that in the past, she'd endured certain kinds of abuse. Plus, she also spoke out about Rihanna, who was involved in a domestic dispute with Chris Brown. “Abuse has several categories,” Carey told King, who went on to ask her if she’d ever been emotionally abused. “Emotionally, mentally… it’s scary,” she said. “I think you just get into a situation and you feel locked in,” she continued. “For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage, but a business thing, where the person was in control of my life." When asked about Rihanna, Carey said, “I can’t imagine what she went through.” The singer also discussed the possibility of having a baby with hubby Nick Cannon: "It would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I'm saying is right now with this movie [‘Precious’] coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I'm doing, I need to focus on that, because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway."

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden told reporters Friday that although his department did not believe that Mayumi and Richard Heene were attempting a hoax in announcing their son had lifted away on a balloon -- the department planned to re-interview the family on Saturday and has contacted Child Protective Services about the family. He said that Child Protective Services has been contacted, but that the agency was instructed not to contact the family until police re-interview the family first this weekend. Sheriff Alderden said that the family will be interviewed again because of a made by Falcon, 6, on CNN's "Larry King Live." In the interview, when fill-in host Wolf Blitzer asked why the boy didn't come out of his hiding place when he was called, Falcon looked at both of his parents, and said, "You guys said we did this for the show." The increased the public's speculation that yesterday's balloon drama was a hoax. The sheriff, however, stated that police believed the parents, saying, "We were convinced yesterday after talking to the parents, and having investigators on the scene, that the parents were being honest. They appropriately expressed statements…and emotions that were consistent with what was taking place.” "Our people didn’t think this could be fake or was being faked," the sheriff also told reporters. He later added that he thought it "just seems inconceivable" that a "hyperactive" boy could be coaxed in such a way. He also revealed that the Heene's first called the FAA, then a local news agency, and then 911. Sheriff Alderden said investigators searched the Heene home three times and did not find Falcon, adding that reports that he was found in a box were erroneous. If the incident is determined to be hoax, Alderden said the Heenes could face misdemeanor charges. "If there's criminal conduct, we certainly would seek restitution,” he said.  Police officials say they still have three videos to review, including one taken by the family moments before the balloon took off.

Chris Brown claims he and Rihanna had a "sturdy, great" relationship. The 20-year-old singer - who was recently sentenced to five years probation and six months community labor for assaulting his on/off girlfriend in February - insists he and Rihanna were very close before the incident.

He said in an interview with US TV talk show host Larry King Wednesday night: "Our relationship was pretty good. We had a pretty sturdy and great relationship."
Chris Brown reflected on his actions against Rihanna and the price he is paying for them on Wednesday night's "Larry King Live." Brown, who appeared with his mother Joyce and lawyer Mark Geragos, told King that when he first saw the infamous picture of Rihanna's battered face about a week after the incident, "I didn't know what to think at the time. I was like 'What?'" "I was just disappointed in myself," he added. "I feel totally ashamed about what I did." When King asked the R&B star why he felt he acted out violently against Rihanna, Brown said, "There's a lot of stuff I wish I could have changed that night." He answered "no" when asked if he remembered the incident, but in the days following tonight's taped King interview, he clarified the remark, saying, "That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one-hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times -- and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said." Brown told King he still loves Rihanna and when they briefly spoke after their fight, "we basically tried to work it out." He said that when he and Rihanna were later photographed in February at P. Diddy's Miami residence, "It was sort of like a 'Romeo and Juliet' story, like both sides not wanting us to kind of have contact, so we just got away and just wanted to -- and that's the main reason I was [photographed] on a Jet Ski. "I know I got a lot of flak from that, and other people were like, 'Well, why is [he] on a Jet Ski? Why is he just acting like there's no care in the world?' Because I was rekindling my relationship with my friend." Asked if he managed to rekindle his relationship with Rihanna, Brown said, "At the time, yes," continuing, "I'm pretty sure we can always be friends, and I don't know about our relationship, but I just -- I know definitely that we ended as friends." He admitted that if Rihanna dated another man, "I'd definitely be affected," adding, "if she's happy, I'm cool." He said he feels his sentence -- five years of probation, six months of community labor in Virginia, attendance at a domestic violence program, and no contact with Rihanna for five years -- is "fair," but "kind of hard because of her being my friend for so long … it's kind of difficult." He explained that his community labor requirement could entail anything from picking up trash to washing cars to graffiti removal. As for the domestic violence program, he said he's willing to learn how to control his emotions. "I'm not saying I have a problem, but... I'm willing to get counseling at the end of the day," he said. King also asked Brown whether or not he thinks he "screwed up." Brown said, "All the time. Every day."

Just a few months ago I’ve read something about Rihanna’s face being bruised by no other then her boyfriend Chris Brown! I’ve seen the pictures then and I must say it was shocking to see Rihanna with her pretty face all messed up like that! However it seems Christ Brown didn’t do anything bad to Rihanna! He’s actually innocent, or so he claims in an interview with Larry King! Here’s what he said: There have been reports on the Internet that I didn't remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times -- and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said. The first four times – or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer -- which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, Do you remember doing it? and I said, No. Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can't believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can't. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future. "The Insider" has the latest... Just days after being sentenced to five years probation for felony assault, singer Chris Brown sat down for his first interview since the now-infamous fight he had with Rihanna nearly six months ago. "I was distraught," he tells People magazine of how he felt immediately following the assault. "I went to my mom on the same night and told [her] what happened and broke down." Brown grew up witnessing his stepfather abuse his mother Joyce, but says he's not like that. "I feel like he enjoyed it," Brown says. "He was an abuser. It was continuous." Brown goes on to say in the magazine, on stands this Friday, that he still loves his ex-girlfriend. "I never fell out of love with her," he says. "That just wouldn't go away." Meanwhile, on this Wednesday's edition of "Larry King Live," Brown says he was in shock reading the police reports detailing the incident. "I'm in shock because that's not who I am," he says. "When I hear about the police reports I don't know what to think." Brown goes on to say he doesn't remember the incident.
