Kiefer Sutherland may soon be out of legal trouble regarding an alleged headbutting incident in New York. The Associated Press reports that Sutherland and clothing designer Jack McCollough have resolved the issues between them, which could clear the way for charges to possibly be dropped. A rep for Sutherland told the AP that the actor "regrets that McCollough was injured." On May 7, Sutherland was charged with assault in the third degree for allegedly headbutting McCollough at a nightclub earlier that week.

AP - Brooke Shields says she's frightened and frustrated by the media storm the Kiefer Sutherland arrest has dumped on her doorstep — and really doesn't understand why she's being brought into the situation at all.
Brooke Shields is speaking out about the frenzy brought on by headbutting allegations made against fellow actor Kiefer Sutherland. "I'm always amazed when events, in any kind, become the most important news event when there are so many other things, really, to talk about," Brooke tells "The Insider" on Thursday about the headline-grabbing news involving Kiefer. "The fact that [photographers are] camped outside my house -- I can't quite justify it. They're following my daughter to school. These are things I can't quite reconcile in my brain." Brooke also tells "The Insider" that she was advised by her attorney not to on the headbutting allegations made against Kiefer by fashion designer Jack McCollough. We spoke to Brooke, "The View"'s Sherri Shepherd and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star Stephanie March during a VIP press party at the home of Stephanie and her husband, celebrity chef Bobby Flay. The trio were there in honor of Tupperware's Chain of Confidence campaign, an effort that supports confidence and the Boys & Girls Club of America's SMART Girls program.  Brooke has served as spokesperson for the campaign for three years.  The actress also announced a global pay-it-forward type challenge via ChainOfConfidence.com to encourage consumers to spread confidence and goodwill across the globe. Kiefer Sutherland has denied any "wrongdoing" following his alleged assault of a fashion designer. The "24" actor - who is accused of headbutting Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough and breaking his nose in New York last week - has released a statement via his attorney Michael C. Miller insisting he was not at fault.

Miller said: "We are troubled by the untruthful and self-serving information circulating regarding Kiefer Sutherland and events of last Monday evening.
"The Insider" confirms that the nail-biting FOX drama "24" is heading to the Big Apple next season. The onscreen switch to New York will not change the fact that most of the series will still be shot in Los Angeles, a rep for FOX said. In addition to the location shift, the CTU anti-terror unit featured in the show will be lead by a new, yet-to-be-cast male character named Brian Hastings, according to FOX. Kiefer Sutherland portrays special agent Jack Bauer on the show, which each season takes viewers on an action-packed ride during episodes spanning a consecutive 24-hour period. The series is set to start shooting its eighth season next month.

Jack Bauer's long 24-hour days of torturing terrorists may be numbered. That's because actor and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland may be ready to call Season 9 his last on the hit show '24'.

"I don't think about [the end of 24] a lot, but I did this year for the first time," he tells Entertainment Weekly. "It was one of those weird moments where the stage was unusually quiet; it was like a ghost town. I was looking around [thinking] about all the work that went into building this thing and it hit me: This will end one day, and I'm going to be sad about it."
