Kevin joined the Backstreet Boys about a year after his father died of cancer. He founded the enviormental organization 'Just Within Reach' (JWR) in memeory of him. JWR was his fathers initials (Jerald Wayne Richardson).
Has two older brothers, Jerald & Tim, and a nephew, Will, who is Tim and his wife Tracy's son.
Bandmates: Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough
23rd June 2006 - announced he is leaving the Backstreet Boys after 13 years with them.
