Kevin and his ex-wife, Kelly Preston, had no children. Favorite hobbies are snowboarding, skydiving, scuba diving, fishing, playing guitar, and flying small planes. Auditioned for his role in Heat (1995) over an intense three month period that included eleven script readings with the director before he finally secured the part. Shortly after turning 32, an accident in his Jeep left Kevin in traction for three months and in a wheelchair and on crutches for another year. Grew up in Wisconsin where he was very active in sports as a kid. Married his wife, Shannon Perris-Knight, on a Santa Barbara beach at sunset.
