The 54-year-old actor - who is currently touring Germany with his country band Kevin Costner and Modern West - has banned his family from travelling with him to keep them safe from the potentially fatal virus.

Kevin Costner says he hopes to return to Alberta to help the victims of the tragic stage collapse Saturday in Canada that killed one person and injured as many as 75, before a planned performance by Costner and his band Modern West. Costner's publicist, Arnold Robinson, tells the Associated Press that the actor wishes to return to Canada to help the victims of the accident. "My understanding is that they sustained cuts and bruising," Robinson tells the AP about the stage collapse victims. "Kevin went to the hospital with (them), they were treated and released, and he did visit with others that were injured while there… In the event that there is any type of benefit to support the victims, he would hope to be a part of it." According to the AP, 35-year-old Donna Moore was killed Saturday when a speaker fell on her and two others suffered critical injuries. Country star Billy Currington, suffered a minor concussion after the stage collapsed on him during his last song. "The boys and I are very grateful to be home and for life itself," the country star said on his Twitter. "We thank you for your prayers and concern and will see you on the road again soon. My heart goes out to the family of Donna Moore who was killed and all of the other fans who were hurt on Saturday." Currington's bassist, Alex Stevens, was pinned under the stage for 30 minutes on Saturday until crews were able to free him. Stevens is recovering in Nashville after having surgery on his left arm. Alberta Occupational health and Safety is currently investigating the incident, keep checking back here for more on this developing story.

KEVIN COSTNER has sent his condolences to the family of a person killed at a country music festival in Canada - and vowed to return to the scene of the tragedy "to help with the healing".One person was killed and 80 injured after a storm caused a stage to collapse at The Big Valley Jamboree
Kevin Costner is speaking out to "The Insider" about the tragic stage collapse that killed one person and injured as many as 75, prior to a planned performance by Costner and his band Modern West at a country music festival in Alberta, Canada on Saturday night. "We are so saddened by the loss of life and injury that occurred on a day that carried so much promise, but turned so wicked so quickly. We hope to return to Alberta in the future to help with the healing," a spokesman for Costner and his band tells us. The Oscar-winning actor went to the hospital with two of his crew who were injured in the incident. They were treated and released, and Costner visited with others that were injured while there. Producers of the Big Valley Jamboree music festival tell us the stage collapsed under the strain of high winds and heavy rain. "We are deeply saddened by the events of Saturday night," said event producer Larry Werner. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families, fans and friends impacted by this incident." The rest of the festival has been canceled.
