Kel is the middle child of two sisters. At the age of 13 he appeared in the Chicago theater production of Dirt. He has studied at Santa Monica College in California along with his buddy, Kenan Thompson.
Enjoys writing music and designing jewelry Is part of a group called M.A.F.T. (Minds after future thought) Kel has rapped in a song along side the pop group Youngstown, in their song "Pedal to the Steal". Good friends with Kenan Thompson Has two children with Tyisha Hampton named, Allure and Lyric.
