Father of Jamie Glover. Began acting with the National Youth Theatre. His performance in the title role of the Royal Shakespeare Company's staging of Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2, at the Barbican Centre in London, earned him the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in 1993. He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1993 (1992 season) for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Henry V at the Royal Shakespeare Company. An Associate Member of RADA. Attended Bristol Grammar School in Bristol, England, where he was in the same class as actor Timothy West. "Darth Vader" actor David Prowse was also in the same year there. Alumni of The Royal Acadamy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, England. He is the only actor to appear in films for the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and James Bond series ("The Empire Strikes Back," "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," and "For Your Eyes Only"). All three times, he played a villain. He and Michael Sheard co-starred as imperial officers in 'Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back'. Both went on to play villains in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' nine years later: Glover as Walter Donovan, and Sheard as Adolf Hitler.
