Joseph McIntyre was born on New Year's Eve 1972 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the youngest of nine children - seven girls and two boys. His sister Judith is also an actress. Joseph is a natural performer and has been working as an artist at a very young age. Joseph's huge shot at stardom came when he was chosen to be a member of the phenomenally successful band New Kids On The Block in 1984. After the New Kids on the Block broke up, Joseph decided to pursue acting and landed the role of Matt in _Fantasticks, The (2000)_ .


Owned a house that was part of the Underground Railroad. He sold it a while after he moved to Los Angeles. It was featured on MTV's "Cribs" (2000). It is also the address of the rental she found for him and the place he wrote his 4th solo album titled also with this number. Was ranked #44 on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Kid Stars" (2005). After leaving NKOTB Joey decided to go back to acting, and won roles in various movies. He has recently starred on Broadway, first in Tick Tick Boom and more recently as the lead Fiyero in Wicked. His first ambition was to be a bricklayer like his father. Graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1990.
