Jonathan Jackson Biography
Jonathan was born in Florida and his family moved to Washington state when he was very young. He started pursuing acting at the age of nine when he and his family visited L.A. for a vacation. His brother,
Richard Lee Jackson, started acting first and he followed. Soon after, Jonathan landed a Corn Pops commercial. After that, Jonathan received the role of a lifetime: playing Lucas "Lucky" Spencer on the Emmy Award winning soap,
General Hospital. Jonathan has been nominated for six Daytime Emmys and has won three of them for his protrayal of Lucky Spencer. Jonathan left "General Hospital" last year to focus on his movie career.

Newsweek magazine claimed that Jonathan was a sureshot for the role of Anakin Skywalker. The role ended up going to his Trapped in a Purple Haze (2000) (TV) co-star, Hayden Christensen.

Over the years, Jackson has been cast in two movies that lost their funding half-way through shooting: "The New Kid" in 1994 and "Six Wire Winter" in 2003. "The New Kid" also co-starred his brother, Richard Lee Jackson, and would have been Jonathan's film debut, but the movie lost funding and was never released. "Six Wire Winter" was to co-star Willie Nelson, but funding fell through and shooting was halted.
