He attended acting school at the Actors Center in Philadelphia. Brother of Anthony Amedori. He landed his role in Almost Famous by sending the director a videotape of himself playing the electric guitar. The director liked it so much that he wrote up a part just for John. Is good friends with actor Taylor Ball from the TV show, "Still Standing" Played (the ghost of) the cousin of the character played by Vanessa Lengies, on (separate episodes of) "Ghost Whisperer", and they're in "Stick It", together. Starred in the independent feature, "Incest" (2002), which won the Audience Award at the Denver Film Festival. Contributed the song, "Love Song," to the soundtrack of the movie "Stick It," in which he appeared.
