John Mayer may not be such a douche afterall because he reportedly called up his ex-girlfriend Minka Kelly to let her know that his new romance with Jennifer Aniston was about to hit the internet. How sweet!

The New York Post Page Six claims John Mayer wanted to give her the heads up before she read about it in the papers or the web.

However, one of Minka's pals was a little shocked about Mayer hooking up with Jen because John allegedly told Minka he didn't get why Jennifer Aniston was so popular.  So why is he with her now? Maybe for the hot sex?

It'll be interesting to see if they stay together and start having babies, but I can't believe he's with Jen over Minka.  Minka's probably not moping around over it though.
