Jay Johnston was used to strangers approaching him in public. After all, he was a prominent writer and actor on the cult HBO sketch series Mr. Show with Bob and David. Plus, he's had his fair share of encounters with the homeless and jerks who want to pick a fight with him simply because he's six foot five. But the oddest reactions Jay's received were the result of growing out a mustache during the first season of The Sarah Silverman Program for his role of Officer Jay McPherson.
