The Godfather of Soul has passed this Christmas morning.

He was admitted to a hospital yesterday with pneumonia and died at an Atlanta hospital this morning.  He was 73.

Not to be of bad taste but the first thing that popped into my head after I heard it was the 1991 song by LA Style.
