Appeared in two MTV promos in the early 90s. Rides motorcycles. He is the only child of Gary Busey, who credits Jake with helping him conquer a serious cocaine habit. Has a pilot's license. Plays the drums in a band called "Feedback". He and his father, Gary Busey, have both appeared in adaptations of John Grisham novels. Gary was in The Firm and Jake appears in Christmas with the Kranks. During the filming of Starship Troopers, Jake nearly suffered heatstroke so, underneath the armour on his costume, several large holes were cut into his shirt so he could cool off.
