Jaimz Woolvett has been a professional actor for more than 20 years, and although some question his temporary departure from Hollywood after Unforgiven as a "what the @#$!" moment, he has made choices beyond whether or not he would appear on next month's magazine covers. There have been ups and downs for sure, mistakes and learning to boot; however Jaimz has always committed himself to any role he has taken on in full, whether it be Studio A, a raw indie or slingin' a "B". Beyond sharks, hype and plastic, Jaimz Woolvett is one actor who is in it for "the long haul". He attributes his steadfastness to his love of "that grand world of creativity" and all the moments therein that shine. When it comes to casting . . . well, they know, but it should be noted Jaimz hopes for a day when they will acquire a health and dental plan they justly deserve, and if/when Mr. Woolvett ever becomes President of the Universe, it would be his first order of business.
"Lonesome Dove: The Series" was created with Woolvett in mind to play Newt Call until another studio involved him in a contract dispute and the role went to fellow Canadian, Scott Bairstow. He's three years older than look-alike brother Gordon Michael Woolvett, also an actor.
