Left the adult film business in the late 1980s and eventually married a deeply religious woman. In interviews basically has said his past work is the past, but not anything he's ashamed to have done. For the past decade he has worked as real estate salesman in Utah. He even uses the name "Harry Reems" in his business. [2002] Was a prolific porn actor and appeared in many popular porn films of the 1970s. He predated Ron Jeremy, although (unlike Jeremy) he was not particularly well endowed. The computer game Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (In Several Wrong Places) references Reems in the name of one of the hair salons: "Hairy Reams." Was offered the role of Coach Calhoun in Grease, but producers replaced him with Sid Caesar at the last moment for fear of his adult movie notoriety. Was the first actor ever prosecuted for his work by the federal government due to his appearance in the film Deep Throat with Linda Lovelace. That film led to his indictment in 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute obscenity across state lines. He was convicted, but the conviction was overturned on appeal one year later. He received considerable support from Hollywood circles during his trials.
