Gerard Butler compared dating Cameron Diaz to "f**king my dog."

TMZ (via Splash) caught up with the hottie from 300 inquiring about the rumors of him dating Cameron Diaz and he insisted the rumors are "not true" as he explained:

"If I was out walking my dog, you would say I'm f**king my dog."

Ouch! I guess Cameron Diaz shouldn't be taking walks with him in the future.  I'd hardly call her a dog though.

Whoever posted this story is the total frickin' dog.  How about the fact that you are totally taking things out of context?  He was making the statement that the paparazzi is so eager to say that someone is sleeping with someone if they are in range of each other that if they would say that he was sleeping with his dog because it was in range of him while he was walking it.  So spamarkedJen, how about taking in the whole conversation instead of snippets.  But I'm sure that is how you get your information.  In snippets.  But I guess that's how you have to listen to conversations if you live on rumors alone.

I agree that Gerard's comparison was a bit off. You can't compare going out with a friend or whatever person to walking your dog, even based on the 'close range'. There are too many other implications of the human-human and owner-pet relatioships that come into mind when do this comparison. I know the context and I still was a little startled when I read Gerard's comment about it.
