Perhaps best known for his portrayal of underground drug king Rhah in Oliver Stone's Academy Award-winning Platoon, Francesco Quinn is one of the film industry's most versatile young actors. Intent on following in the footsteps of his father, Oscar winner Anthony Quinn, who had appeared in more than 200 pictures, Francesco has already racked up some impressive film credits, setting him well on his way. He was the lead guest star in an episode of JAG which won the show a 29 share (the highest rating in its history) and had a lead role in TNT's Rough Riders.


Son of Anthony Quinn and Jolanda Addolori. Had his twin children Max and Michela baptized by Pope John Paul II. His wife, Julie McCann, is the niece of the Belfast Snooker legend Alex Higgins. Acted alongside his father Anthony Quinn three times in "The Old Man and the Sea", A Star for Two (1991), and Stradivari (1989). Is an avid participant of extreme sports such as skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing, and free diving. According to a recent interview, he was conceived during a lull in the filming of his father Anthony Quinn's most famous film Lawrence of Arabia (1962). Despite his background, he has played Middle Eastern characters several times, most notably in the series "24" (2001) and "JAG" (1995).
