Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane is trying for a baby with his wife Rebecca Gayheart. The couple - which was forced to deny rumors of a split last year - wed in 2004 and has now decided the time is right to start a family.


In 'Marley & Me,' "Grey's Anatomy" hunk Eric Dane stars opposite Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston as a friend who recommends that they get a puppy before they dive into parenthood. He also happens to be that guy who uses pooches and kids as bait to pick up the ladies! So, has "McSteamy" ever used that trick in real life? "Never once," he tells our own Victoria Recano, but is quick to add, "I have that friend." Eric, who is married to actress Rebecca Gayheart, also says that he's unlike his big-screen alter ego in that he's ready to have a family himself. "I never had that fear of 'I have to burn that black book'; [the] stereotypical 'man down, another one's getting married'-type thing," he explains. "I was always just like, 'This is what we do, this is the next chapter.' And kids, the same way; I want to have a big family and I'm ready for it, you know? And in the same breath, not ready, because I don't think anybody is. But I'm willing to learn." Watch the video to catch Eric talk about the movie and his co-stars. Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane has denied reports he's suffering from skin cancer. The 35-year-old actor was said to be battling the deadly disease after he was diagnosed with it in January. But Dane insists the report, in OK! magazine, is exaggerated.


Eric Dane has had a close encounter with the Big C. The Grey's Anatomy star reveals to OK! magazine how he found out he had skin cancer and what he did to prevent it.

"I went to my dermatologist," the 35-year-old actor says. Dane new something was wrong when he glanced in the mirror and saw his lips, which appeared to be chapped but wasn't.
Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane has been battling skin cancer since he was diagnosed with the deadly illness last month. The 35-year-old actor became concerned after noticing an unusual patch of skin above his lips and immediately sought medical treatment.
