Disgraced country star-turned-reality TV star Mindy McCready has hit back at reports she leaked a private naked romp tape featuring Hollywood couple Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart online.


Police are now involved in an investigation of the nude video that surfaced online of "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart, and Miss U.S. Teen Kari Ann Peniche. According to People.com, The LAPD has confirmed that detectives are investigating a DVD that they received from an unnamed source in July. The LAPD tells People that the source claimed the DVD "contained images that could link celebrities engaging in illegal activity," but that the footage was leaked onto the internet before Police could determine if a crime was committed. Dane's lawyer, Marty Singer told ET earlier this week that the video was not a sex tape and that "This is simply a private consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public." After a tape surfaced online of what appears to be "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart, and another woman nude together, an attorney for the couple is speaking out and says that the tape should not be used for any commercial purposes. Dane's lawyer Marty Singer said in a statement to "The Insider," "This is simply a private consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public." Singer also clarifies that "Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a 'sex tape.'" He goes on to stress that the tape is private and was made for his clients' personal use. After the tape surfaced fans immediately took to their Twitter.com pages to share their thoughts. The tape appears to show Dane and Gayheart nude with another woman, who reports suggest may be former Miss United States Teen Kari Ann Peniche.
