With an estimated budget of around $125 million Letterier’s Hulk is rumoured to be more action orientated than previous director Ang Lee’s 2003 effort. The new creative team and a new cast has been brought in to inject life into the franchise after the initial Hulk excitement was lost when the film received only a lukewarm response despite costing nearly $200 million to make.  In this new beginning, Edward Norton takes over from Eric Bana to play scientist Bruce Banner who desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him, which is personified by his alter-ego The Hulk.
