A documentary on President Barack Obama's journey to the White House -- produced by Edward Norton's Classic 5 Films -- has been bought and is coming to television. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has obtained the rights to the documentary titled 'By the People: The Election of Barack Obama,' according to the Hollywood Reporter. The picture follows Obama from his U.S. Senate seat to his momentous election and inauguration as the first black president of the United States. The documentary -- directed by Amy Rice and Alicia Sams -- is scheduled to air on HBO.
