Pop singer Britney Spears was quick to react upon learning news of Ed McMahon's death. She took it to her Twitter account on Tuesday, June 23, to express her loss. She wrote, "I am deeply saddened by today's news about Ed McMahon. He is responsible for giving so many artists their first shot, including myself. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed."
"The Insider" has learned new information regarding the current state of Ed McMahon's widow, Pam. TV icon McMahon suffered through tumultuous economic times in the later years of his life, with multiple lawsuits having been filed, but a rep for McMahon tells "The Insider," "Pam McMahon moved out of their home into a one-story house a couple of weeks ago in preparation for Ed coming home from the hospital. The lawsuits were settled, the house was settled and Ed made certain that all his business affairs were in order before he died." The beloved TV star was 86 at the time of his passing.

"The Insider" caught up with Jay Leno Tuesday night in Hollywood at the 'Raptor - Born in Baja' premiere and the talk-show-host opened up about the passing of iconic tv personality Ed McMahon. "Ed was a great guy, I was a good friend of Ed's," Leno tells "The Insider". "I don't know anybody that didn't like Ed. He was just a wonderful, wonderful guy. That was really sad. He was a terrific guy." "Well he was an icon, we all grew up watching him late at night with Johnny Carson" Dr. Andrew Ordon ("The Doctors") says about McMahon. "He was sort of the sidekick. Sort of played second fiddle to Johnny, but we loved him dearly." Leno, known for his classic car collection and as an automotive enthusiast joined Judy Tenuta, Ordon, and other stars at the premiere of the new documentary about an off-road racing team. 'Raptor - Born in Baja' documents a team of off-road racers as they build, test and unveil a new F-150 SVT Raptor truck at the toughest point-to-point off-road race known to man and machine, the Baja 1000.

At the M•A•C AIDS FUND event, where Joan Rivers was presented with a $25,000 check for her charity, God's Love We Deliver, in honor of her win on last season's "Celebrity Apprentice," the comedienne talked to "The Insider" about the death of Ed McMahon.   Joan told us that Ed was a "gent," as well as a "good man and a good neighbor." She says her favorite memory of the former "The Tonight Show" sidekick was from the time that she left "The Tonight Show" to host her own late-night show on FOX: "Carson put out an edict: 'No one is allowed to talk to her.' Ed McMahon would come over in a restaurant -- against the bosses orders -- and always said, 'hello,' and 'how are you?' He kept the relationship going. I thought that was classy."
