Courteney Cox and David Arquette are planning to adopt a child in a bid to save their marriage. The couple - who have been married for nine years and already have four-year-old daughter Coco - are desperate to add to their family but Courteney, 44, has so far been unable to fall pregnant, causing arguments between the pair.

According to National Enquirer magazine, a source said: "David wants a sibling for Coco, but Courteney's reached a point where she feels it's hopeless to keep trying to get pregnant."

Hollywood couple David Arquette and Courteney Cox hosted a victory party at their Beverly Hills home on Tuesday night in celebration of Barack Obama's win in the U.S. presidential election.

Courteney and David joined "The Hills"' Lauren Conrad, "Wonder Woman" Lynda Carter and a host of other celebs for the launch of Fallout 3, one of fall's most hotly anticipated videogames -- and "The Insider" was there! "Not a huge gamer, but I have fun with it -- I'm not very good!" Lauren tells us. Meanwhile, David admits that he is the gamer of the Cox-Arquette family, but says that Courteney enjoys "some" of the next-gen diversions. Does his late-night playing interfere with her beauty sleep?
